What do you call it when...?

a mediocre horse trainer gets visibly drunk at a racetrack, stumbles into a truck (that information came from 1 of the 10 other people with him drinking that day...), drives to a liquor store (for cigarettes on his way to the next bar), kills your child, is set free and then goes on to have the biggest winning season of his career?

Seems to me someone knew that they were getting away...
